FORT MILL — A suspect in a string of vehicle break-ins earlier this week has been arrested and is custody, according to Fort Mill police.
Tina Marie Frick, 19, of Charlotte, faces 24 counts of breaking and entering into a motor vehicle, and 24 counts of criminal conspiracy.
At approximately 4 a.m. Sept. 30, Fort Mill Police Department officers went to the 1600 block of Paddock Lane, in the Berkshire Apartments, after getting a call about a possible breaking and entering of a vehicle in progress, according to a statement from police.
The caller provided a partial description of two people and two vehicles that were apparently leaving the area at that time. Officers said they saw two people running from the scene. After providing information to other Fort Mill area police agencies, a York County Sheriff’s deputy later stopped and questioned people in a vehicle, including three minors, who all later became suspects.
Frick is being held at the York County Detention Center in lieu of a $10,515 bond. Criminal charges against the three juveniles allegedly involved in the incidents are pending, according to Fort Mill police.
