Nation Ford High School Band marches off with top honors

DUNCAN — The Nation Ford High School Band won top honors at the C. Phillip McIntyre Tournament of Bands Sept. 28 at James F. Byrnes High School.

The band from the Fort Mill school district was named Class 7A Champions and Grand Champion by earning the highest score overall. Nation Ford had the highest score in visual performance, music effect, and visual effect.

It also received awards for Best Music and Best Percussion.

Nation Ford’s next performance will be in the Kennesaw Mountain Marching Invitational at Kennesaw Mountain High School, just outside of Atlanta in Kennesaw, Ga., on Saturday, Oct. 5.
