FORT MILL — The timeline for this fall’s Fort Mill Town Council elections has been set, according to York County Voter Registration and Elections office.

In addition to the office of mayor, now held by Guynn Savage, the at-large seat held by Lisa Cook and Ward 2 and 4 seats held by Ronald Helms and Chris Moody, respectively, are up for election. All the terms expire Jan. 1, 2020.

Filing open at noon on Aug. 7 and closes at noon Sept. 6. There is a $100 filing fee, but half of that is refunded if a candidate runs unopposed. To be eligible, candidates must reside inside Fort Mill town limits and in the case of a ward seat, live in that ward. An at-large candidate simply needs to be a town resident.
