FORT LAWN – Gigi is broken, but she’s not defeated.

The cat was hit by a car in the Fort Lawn area of York County earlier this month and needs surgery for a broken jaw and other injuries. She may even lose an eye. Her owner needs to raise $1,500 to pay for her care at Carolina Place Animal Hospital in Richburg.

A photo portrait fundraiser will be held 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 25, at Fort Lawn Park. Ginger Snaps Photography and HLH Photography are teaming up to offer professional portraits of pets and people. You can get one portrait for $10 or two for $15 with two poses.

Donations for Gigi also can be made directly to the veterinary facility by calling 803-789-5047.
