FORT MILL — The culinary void created in Baxter Village with the surprise closing of Sixpence Pub will soon be filled.

Lucky Duck, a gastropub featuring an Irish-inspired menu, will move into the space on Market Street Sixpence vacated a little more than a month ago, according to multiple sources.

The new restaurant is expected to open sometime this spring.

According to a story in the Fort Mill Sun, the restaurant’s last day was Feb. 23. That story cited a Facebook announcement that said Sixpence locations in Savannah, Ga., and Blowing Rock, N.C., will remain in operation.
