FORT MILL — York County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a man accused of allegedly assaulting a woman at his Fort Mill home.
Charles Hill, 41, of 131 Epps Road, became a suspect after someone called 911 and hung up. An apparent pocket dial to a deputy allegedly yielded information that implicated Hill, according to a sheriff’s office report.
A warrant for Hill was issued after a deputy interviewed a 36 year-old Lancaster woman, who told her she had been staying at Hill’s home for several days before an argument erupted over cocaine.
The deputy said he noticed injuries on the woman that got worse while he was talking to her.
Hill was arrested, charged with assault and battery third degree and booked at the Moss Justice Center in York, where he was still in custody Thursday evening, according to the YCSO website.
